About Dr. Chan
Dr. May Chan is a Southern California native who is excited to return to her hometown to serve patients. She was born and raised in Long Beach where she attended Poly High School. Dr. Chan then attended UCLA for her undergraduate studies, where she earned a BA in Psychology. Her interest in Optometry developed during her time at UCLA, while she was volunteering with a local optometrist. After completing her optometry degree, Dr. Chan joined a community health center in Ventura, where she has cared for patients for the last few years. She recently moved back to Long Beach, and looks forward to growing her optometric practice here. She is licensed by the California Board of Optometry and is a member of the California Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association. She is a considerate and compassionate optometrist who strives to provide excellent eye care to her patients. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.
