Vision Care Q & A
What types of glasses do you offer?
Eye Treatment Center’s on-site optical shop offers glasses of all types for children and adults. Whether you need standard one-prescription lenses, bifocals, trifocals, progressive lenses, or something else, the team has everything you need in the optical shop.
In addition to all of the standard lens types, a variety of state-of-the-art lenses are available, including:
Computer glasses
Computer glasses are specially made for patients who suffer from computer vision syndrome, a very common kind of eyestrain. These lenses are fabricated with a unique focal point based on the 20-24 inch distance that you typically have between you and your computer.
Additionally, computer glasses lenses frequently include an anti-glare coating to reduce light bouncing from the computer screen.
i.Scription
i.Scription®, an innovative technology from ZEISS, is a unique type of glasses lens that improves contrast and helps you see better at night and in low light conditions. Your doctor performs an analysis using the iProfiler scanner, which examines over 2,500 points inside your pupils under a variety of low light situations.
Then, your doctor takes eye measurements and uses those measurements and the iProfiler data to generate the highest-precision lenses possible. This gives you improved night vision, enhanced color vision, reduced glare, and better contrast in all low light situations.
You can also choose special lens treatments, for example, polarized sunglasses. A polarized lens has a laminated filter that eliminates everything except vertical light rays. This dramatically reduces glare and reflections while enhancing contrast and color perception.
What type of contacts are available at the vision care center?
Eye Treatment Center offers all contact lens options for patients starting at age 9. Today’s contact lenses range from daily disposables to lenses that you remove daily to extended wear lenses that you don’t need to remove overnight.
The Eye Treatment Center team can help you find the perfect contacts if you have myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, or presbyopia. Multifocal lenses can even correct more than one problem at a time. Additionally, there are special contacts for patients dealing with chronic dry eyes or other kinds of eye irritation.
How long will it take to get my new glasses or contacts?
Because the Eye Treatment Center has an on-site optical shop, you can generally get your new glasses or contact lenses very quickly. The optical shop stocks a wide variety of glasses lenses, frames, and contact lenses for all types of patients’ needs, so they’re likely to have what you want right now.
